Belgian ISIS fighter celebrating in Mosul, IraqPosted: 2014/07/01
Houdaifa Ammi from Vilvoorde appears to be the first Belgian ISIS fighter proving he has crossed the border from Syria into Iraq. Yesterday, he published a video and a few pictures taken in Mosul.
The video that appeared on Ammi’s Facebook page, is filmed from within a car convoy that crosses the city, honking as a way to celebrate the freshly declared caliphate. People in the car can be heard while shouting slogans such as “Allahu Akbar” and “Dawla Islamiyya” — Arabic for ‘Islamic State’. Their chants are welcomed by some passersby.
The Belgian muslim extremist, who has his roots in the Moroccan town of Sidi Slimane and is using the alias ‘Houdaifa Ibn Abdelhakim’, also posted pictures of the International Airport in Mosul. Earlier, he could be seen while posing with firearms in the Syrian war and on his Facebook page he also states that he has been with Al-Shabaab in Somalia.
